Ingredients:

  • 100g of spaghetti
  • 150g of ground beef
  • 1 slice of bread (for breadcrumbs)
  • 1 egg
  • 50g of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove of garlic (minced)
  • 400g of canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil (for garnish)

Instructions:

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs prepared from bread slice, egg, Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Form the beef mixture into meatballs, approximately the size of a golf ball.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned all over. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add canned crushed tomatoes. Bring to a simmer and return meatballs to the skillet. Cook for 20-25 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
  • Serve the meatballs over spaghetti and garnish with fresh basil.
