Classic Hummus is a creamy and savory dip made from blended chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice. Ingredients:

  • 200g of canned chickpeas
  • 50g of tahini
  • 30ml of lemon juice
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 30ml of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

  • Serving Bowl

Instructions:

  • Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water.
  • In a blender, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and a pinch of salt.
  • Blend the mixture until smooth, adding water as needed to achieve your desired consistency.
  • With the blender running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until fully incorporated.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to your liking.
  • Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with extra olive oil if desired.
  • Serve with pita bread or fresh vegetables.
