Ingredients:

  • 100g of spaghetti
  • 200g of ground beef
  • 50g of bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 50g of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 400g of canned tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • Basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  • Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  • Shape the meat mixture into meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.
  • In a large pan, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  • Pour in the canned tomatoes, and add oregano. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 20 minutes, allowing the meatballs to cook through.
  • Once the spaghetti is cooked and drained, add it to the pan with the sauce and meatballs. Toss gently to combine.
  • Serve spaghetti and meatballs on a plate, garnished with fresh basil leaves and additional Parmesan if desired.
