Ingredients:

  • 500g of lentils (cooked)
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 medium carrot (grated)
  • 1 bell pepper (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable broth

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Cooking Spoon
  • Oven

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked lentils, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated carrot, and chopped bell pepper.
  • Add the soy sauce, ketchup, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together thoroughly.
  • Drizzle olive oil and vegetable broth into the mixture to help bind it together.
  • Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-75 minutes until the top is firm and slightly browned.
  • Remove from oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm with additional ketchup or your favorite sauce.
