Ingredients:
- 200g of elbow macaroni
- 50g of butter
- 50g of all-purpose flour
- 500ml of milk
- 200g of shredded cheddar cheese
- 50g of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 75g of breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cook the elbow macaroni in a pot of boiling salted water until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble.
- Reduce the heat and add half of the shredded cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Season the cheese sauce with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce and mix well.
- Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top, followed by the breadcrumbs for a crispy topping.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with chopped parsley.
